The mark has since been surpassed many times; the current record holder is LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live," which stayed on the Hot 100 for 69 weeks.

“Guilt by Association” is a whole album of guilty pleasures re-sung by un or little-known indie darlings. When I was mentally putting the play list together, I heard this song on Jodi's Vox and couldn’t stop listening to it.

Moi, le voisin ("me, the neighbor") is a sweet little acoustic 3-piece from Utrecht, Netherlands. It is composed of two boys and a girl. The boy Benjamin van Vliet sings with his guitar, the other boy Laurens Ham plays acoustic bass and a little casio (but not casio-pop :) and the girl Lot Broos (don't Scandinavians have such neat names?? god!) she plays the cello. They are an acoustic folk-ish group in the line of Palace, Devendra Banhart, Damien Jurado, all those guys.

Haha ! I totally found these cassettes in my basement today.I had a few cassingles for Information Society, so I'm going to put them on the playlist for this week! I love them so much !!You may remember them back in the 80s with their big hit "What's On Your Mind (Pure Energy)", which had a big problem with the sampling of Leonard Nimoy from Star Trek.

Quiet Riot singer Kevin DuBrow died Sunday, drummer Frankie Banali confirmed in a post on his Web site. DuBrow was 52 years old and the official cause of his death has yet to be determined, pending autopsy and toxicology results.
